01

The moka-pot café

The current artist impressions imagine a monumental red mosaic percolator with working café service windows. Permanent, flexible and mobile forms are being explored with the Industrial Design Team. Scale, materials, service arrangements and handle finishes remain part of the design development.

02

Take a seat. In a cup.

Oversized blue mosaic coffee cups are imagined as communal seating: a playful place to sit, enjoy coffee and connect. Tactile Mosaics is exploring the potential for mosaic finishes, including the possibilities of glass mosaic craftsmanship.

03

A moment for the senses

Timed steam and whistle effects are proposed as part of the experience. Their operation, timing and suitability would need technical development and consideration of the chosen site and surrounding community.

04

Stories in the public realm

A proposed digital screen would share short films, oral histories, family portraits and recipes. Subtitled, multilingual content and a simple contribution interface could help create a living archive of community reflections.
